Sculptural objects
One day I was waiting in a bank office. There was a table, two plain armchairs and a computer. In this neutral and somewhat cold environment, I imagined a work of art that could warm up the room through a powerful materiality, whilst also being useful. This is how the idea of the “Ridges” sculptural objects came about and how this project began.
The idea of the objects in primary material is to convey an earthy, elementary force into our everyday space. With their natural textures reminding us of their geological origin, they invite for a change of scenery through the imagination. These objects can be displayed alone or used - they can then be combined with our personal elements : cards, images, pens...
